Ghost Ship USS Oriskany

Green Nohohon finally visits the USS Orisnkany
Green Nohohon and I have been meaning to visit the retired aircraft carrier Oriskany which will be reefed in the Gulf of Mexico off Pensacola's coast some time in September to serve as an artificial reef and dive site. The ship arrived in Pensacola on Dec. 20, 2004 and is now berthed at the Port of Pensacola awaiting a reefing permit. The empty ship has a eerie feel even from a distance. I believe there may be a ghost or two aboard.

their are many men still alive who served the grey lady. when she has been sunk, watch the ghost s come out then. they will be like me, i think of the grey lady all of time. i'll always think of the time i served on her.v-2 div. discharged in 1965.
