Surviving the Storm
Just a couple of hours after Hurricane Ivan passed over Pensacola, Green Nohohon and I surveyed our neighborhood for damages. Fortunately, we didn't suffer any major damages. Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same for our neighborhood and town.![]()
Green Nohohon checks out the neighborhood and grimaces at the fallen trees.
At this moment, many are still without electricity. The whole city is under a "water boil" mandate because of a possible contamination of our water supply. There is a curfew for people on the roads since many of the street lights are still down. For now, Green Nohohon's adventures will probably be light. Pensacola needs to heal. Many of us are still busy trying to get our lives back together. Don't worry, there will be posts! (just not as frequent).

I've been so concerned about Green NoHoHon ever since Ivan. I see that as usual, he has the right attitude about everything, and is smiling his sweet peaceful smile.
My Red Shirt NoHoHon (with Japanese style face) watched for tornadoes (there were 25-30 in our town) a few days after Ivan hit Florida, but he did't seem too afraid.
I tried to follow his example.
Thank you for your concern. Green Nohohon and I really appreciate it.
Hope the situation in Pensacola getting better soon.
